School art

I love it when the kids come home with their arts and crafts made at school. They do some really creative and awesome things. The plant and cards were for mothers day, the plant pot painted and decorated. The potato at the top has cress seeds all ready to grow and make for yummy goodness.

The sun is out the house is clean and the kids are behaving, so far. I think a day out would be nice today, to get some spring fresh air and a bit of sanity for me.

A walk in the park

A few weeks ago my friend came over with her black lab pup. He is adorable and the girls love him. It was a beautiful day, cold but the sun was out and we all went for a walk to let the kids run around in the park and walk the pup. It was a great. We walked in placed we had not been before, seeking adventure along the way. Feed the ducks, a play in the playground and in search of muddy puddles. A fun day out.

Bake a cake

So I decided to bake a cake with the kids. A Victorian sponge, with cream cheese frosting and strawberries. Yum! As you can see there is half a cake. Since we do not have a big family I used a large cake tin then when cooked cut in half and made placed one on top of the other. It works well because sometimes we struggle to go through a cake in a few days.

Anyway, it was enjoyed by all and the kids loved decorating it.
